SHIPPING POLICY
OUR SHIPPING INFORMATION
Express orders(overnight or 2 day air) are usually shipped same-day if placed by 1pm Pacific time. Please feel free to call or email to confirm your item & address are eligible if you need the order shipped same-day or for last-minute priority overnight orders.
Orders for ground shipping are usually packaged and shipped 1-2 business days after order completion, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
We cannot ship to PO boxes or APO/FPO addresses as they will not receive alcohol shipments.
High-dollar orders placed for shipping to an address different from the billing address are held pending verification, which usually takes 2-3 hours.
We very strongly recommend shipping valuable or collectable bottles via 2 day or overnight services with insurance whenever possible.
Please note that weekends & holidays do not count as transit days with FedEx/UPS/etc. As an example- if you order on Sunday morning and select overnight, your order would be shipped on Monday for Tuesday delivery.
If there are any delays processing or shipping your order, we will notify you via email and/or phone.
Purchasing and Shipping goods Legally
Any goods sold to you by TeayanUSA is sold in California, and title passes to you, the buyer, in California at the time of sale. Many states and the District of Columbia have enacted laws that regulate inbound shipments of goods purchased in another state.
Insurance
Insurance is offered for all shipments at checkout & arranged by and billed to TeaYanUSA. Insurance must be added before the shipment leaves TeaYanUSA and cannot be added after shipping. This insurance will solely cover breakage or loss from time of purchase to time of delivery.
Neither Teayanusa's nor its agents assume responsibility for any deterioration resulting from shipment, which includes, but is not limited to: scuffed labels, cracked wax capsules or minor seepage.
If you select ground shipping and do not request "hold for weather," TeaYanUSA will not be responsible for temperature related damage i.e. seepage, frost, etc.
Goods must be inspected by the Purchaser upon receipt and any loss or breakage must be noted on the Shipper’s documents at the time of delivery.
If the buyer or an agent of the buyer will not be able to receive and inspect the shipment upon delivery, the shipment should be scheduled for another date. If the loss or breakage is not noted on the Shipper’s documents and if TeaYanUSA is not notified of a claim of loss or breakage within 24 hours of delivery, the claim will not be honored.
Should this insurance coverage not be desired, Purchaser is waiving insurance and any subsequent claims must be received prior to the shipment of the wines. Without insurance, loss or damage due to any cause will be at the Purchaser’s risk.
Returns and Cancellations
Returns and order cancellations are not accepted, except in cases of shipping or inventory errors on the part of TeaYanUSA, in which case, issue-specific resolutions will be created and applied.
TeaYanUSA will make one delivery attempt for all gift orders unless otherwise requested. If an order is returned, Purchaser may be charged a return delivery fee and re-delivery fees, if any. If you would like TeaYanUSA to make additional attempts at delivery you may request this when ordering.
Shipments by UPS, GLS, & FedEx include 3 delivery attempts after which your order will be returned to TeaYanUSA. All other delivery methods (e.g., messenger, courier) will only make one delivery attempt. The items will still be property of Purchaser.
Payment
All sales are made in the state of California. Payment in full is due upon receipt of invoice or order confirmation. No order will be shipped or allowed to be collected until all expenses related to the order have been paid.
Weather Watch
Transporting wine in extreme weather conditions and temperatures, even by Overnight service, may seriously damage Goods. We define these temperature readings or predicted temperatures of greater than 80 degrees or less than 32 degrees Fahrenheit. TeaYanUSA performs regular weather checks prior to shipment. These checks confirm appropriate temperatures will be held at the point of origin, along the probable route and at the final destination.
International Shipments- Taxation, Duties, and Tariffs
At all times, taxation is determined by point of delivery. We are required by law to collect the appropriate state and local taxes from purchasers, unless the purchase is deemed to be non-taxable. We can only ship wine & spirits internationally and to specific countries. Beer cannot be shipped internationally.
Goods sold by TeaYanUSA may be subject to laws, rules, or restrictions governing importation, including duties, tariffs, permits, rates, schedules, taxes, and preliminary statements, as they may be amended, adjusted, increased, renegotiated, replaced or restated from time to time (herein “Import Duties”).
Buyer is solely responsible for any and all Import Duties that may apply to any purchase of goods, including those Import Duties in effect after the Buyer purchases the goods but prior to the importation of the goods.
Buyer cannot cancel any purchase, seek rescission of any agreement or contract, or fail to make timely payment for any purchase because of any applicable Import Duties, the adoption of a new trade policy, or renegotiation or termination of certain existing bilateral or multi-lateral trade agreements. Buyer further agrees that any applicable Import Duties are not considered to be outside of the Buyer’s control.
All conclusions as to applicable taxes, duties, and tariffs due and owing will be determined by TeaYanUSA in its sole discretion.
All transactions and prices listed are to be processed in United States Dollars. These terms shall be bound solely by the laws, rules, and regulations of The United States of America, State of California, City of Los Angeles.
